I always carry a tape measure in my purse.  Some girls may not think of this, but a mini tape measure is such a handy little item to carry in your purse.  There are times when it comes in handy while shopping for items for your home or even for kids clothing.

You will be surprised how often you use it or you can offer it to someone else to use if you carry it with you in your purse.  I have used mine many times.
