The definition of shopping to men and women are two completely different things. There are, of course, men that like to shop, but they are the minority shoppers and most just go get what they need and don’t stray from that purpose.  Our Sharon Barber Purses facebook fans agreed and these are a few of their comments. A lifestyle, a pastime. No. A downright obsession. Whether it’s shoes, purses, clothes, body lotions or for a new boyfriend, women can never get enough shopping.

For Males, shopping is …

An occasional trip to the supermarket for something along the lines of booze, chips and possibly some soda.

I personally think shopping is great exercise, enjoyable and a fun way to get some girl time with your friends. What do you think?

You have a special occasion to attend and, of course, for most girls our first thought is how to dress and what to wear. It depends on the occasion. Is it a wedding? Is it a party at the home of your boss. Is it to meet your future in-laws? You don’t want to over dress or under dress, so it’s a good idea to ask what the dress code is. Contact the host, or if you will be dining at an unfamiliar restaurant, call them to inquire.

For women, one thing that will take you just about anywhere is the simple little black dress. It can be dressed up or down using the right accessories. Pearls are always a great pairing for a little black dress. Using colorful scarfs and jewelry would give you some eye catching accents. Gold and / or silver are a safe bet and pop with a black dress or outfit. Make sure that your shoes are comfortable and easy to walk in. You could choose to wear any color shoe, just be sure that they compliment your other accessories.

If it’s a special occasion, the last thing you want to be concerned about is keeping up with and carrying around a big purse or leaving your purse with all of your valuables in it unattended. Choose to carry a smaller purse and only keep what your really need for the occasion in it. The color doesn’t have to match your shoes, but it does need to be compatible with the other colors you choose. Just as you can’t go wrong with a little black dress, you cant’ go wrong with a little black purse. With a transformable purse, you can simply dress your purse in black. Keep it simple and have fun.

A Mother is most commonly what we call a woman who has given birth to a child. But, there is much more to being a Mother than just giving birth to the child. Raising a little girl, or little boy, can be the most difficult part. Many women, and sometimes men, fill that role when the biological Mother is unable to raise the child for a multitude of different reasons. It is a huge commitment and not an easy task, so it is even more admirable when someone else steps up to the challenge and accepts the responsibility.

Nursing has to be one of the toughest jobs and there are plenty of sick people to take care of, but many prospective nurses purses are too slim to pay for nursing education costs. Unfortunately, the salaries are not as high as they should be for this admirable career that is not for everyone. Nurses have to be flexible with their time and there is a need for nurses every day and every hour of every year. Many nurses are required to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.

There are however some very dedicated men, but a higher number of women, that have chosen to become nurses for reasons above and beyond the money. It takes a very special person that enjoys helping people and making a difference in their lives, to become a good nurse. No other profession offers the opportunity to make such a profound difference on the lives of people who truly need and appreciate it. Good nurses greatly contribute to the success and stability of the mental and physical well being of their patients. They give a piece of their heart to each of their patents.

We, here at Sharon Barber Purses, salute these “angels in comfortable shoes”, not only during this National Nurse Appreciation Week, but all year long.  Thank you nurses for all you do! Some of us just couldn’t do it and we admire you.

A consumer becomes an agent for conservation by buying at least one eco product, and becomes an agent for conservation. It’s finally beginning to feel like Spring. There is a touch green on the trees and colorful flowers are beginning to emerge, here in central Arkansas. Did you know that some flowers need to be planted each spring, while others pop up all by themselves year after year? Some of them are annual plants and some are perennial plants. A good way to remember the difference is to think of the P in perennial as P in permanent.

Annual plants and flowers last only one year. They grow from seed, bloom, produce seeds and die in one growing season and then need to be replanted each spring. They are a favorite of gardeners because they provide beautiful colors and bloom for a long time, usually from spring through fall. Some favorite annuals are zinnias, petunias and marigolds.

Perennial plants blooms return year after year, but the blooms do not last long on many of them. Some favorite perennials are the iris, lily and roses. A favorite of ours is The Rose of Sharon. It flowers in late summer to fall when few other shrubs are in bloom and it’s flower colors include blue, pink, red, lavender, purple, and white
